Beginning Band

Ever wanted to learn how to play an instrument? Than this class is the place for you! Learn how to play one of the following instruments: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, or percussion. No previous musical experience is required, and you will also learn how to read music!

Intermediate Band

This class is for primarily 7th graders who have already taken beginning band. We continue to learn to read music and how to play more difficult music in order to prepare for Advanced Band.

Advanced Band

This class is for students who have taken Beginning Band before, and already know how to play an instrument and read music. The music is more challenging, but also more fun! The Advanced Band gets to go on a few field trips throughout the year, and also plays in many of the Wilson Middle School Assemblies.

Jazz Band

This fun class meets after school. It is open to anyone who has been in band before, who already knows how to play an instrument and read music, but we also have room for a bass guitar player and piano player. The Jazz Band goes on several field trips throughout the year, including to the elementary schools that feed into Wilson Middle School, and the annual Albuquerque Jazz Festival at El Dorado High School.
